March 1st - 25th 2020 Allegany County, NY Libraries are invited to share a SWANShelfie to SWAN Days Allegany County, NY. Use #SWANShelfie2020 and #AlleganyCountyNY to tag your photo so we can find you.
WHAT IS A SWANShelfie?
Library social media posts of your library displays featuring content by, for, and about women in the arts.
By random selection, one participating library will receive $100 toward any women in the arts media purchase of their choice.
Guidelines: SWANShelfie2020 Posts must be visible to the public by March 25th. Registration form must be submitted to sheila@sheilalynnkart.com
Subject: SWANShelfie2020 or received at SheilaLynnK Art Studio in Wellsville, NY by NOON on March 25th.

Your display must clearly show media and materials in any genre representing women in the arts. Within this content, there must be at least ONE item by or about a local female creator. As your SWANShelfie will be shared on social media, this is also a good place to include an announcement about any SWAN Days activities being hosted at your library during March and April.

of SheilaLynnK Art Studio in partnership with
the Belfast Organization for Artists in Belfast, NY

Now in its 13th year, Support Women Artists Now Day/SWAN Day is an annual international celebration of women’s creativity and gender parity activism, co-founded by Martha Richards of WomenArts and Jan Lisa Huttner of FF2 Media in 2008. SWAN Day is now a grassroots international effort that is being coordinated by Statera Foundation and WomenArts through the Statera Arts Website.
