ABOUT THE ARTIST
"John is an outdoorsman in every sense of the word. He is an accomplished hunter, fisherman, wildlife artist, photographer, and writer.

He retired after working thirty years in Allegany County, NY as the Office of Emergency Services Director. He has resided for many years outside Belmont, NY with his wife, Ann. John has a son, daughter, and granddaughter.

As a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology's School of Art and Design (1971), he developed his artistic and photographic skills using a variety of media, including acrylics, pen and ink, pencil, and pastels.

After learning the ancient art of arrow making called "flint knapping," he decided to try to make a complete arrow with a wild turkey feather fletching.

Other unique media materials employed by John Tucker include painting on old roofing slate, and wild turkey tail feathers."
